Proven solution for climatic chambers

Climate chambers are used in various industries for testing products under simulated extreme temperature and humidity conditions. These chambers require lighting that can withstand extreme temperatures, both cold and hot, and frequently changing cycles. Conventional lighting often performs poorly under these conditions, leading to reduced visibility, increased maintenance costs and potential delays in test processes.

JEL Products understands these challenges and offers specialised LED lighting solutions that perform reliably in the most extreme conditions within climate chambers. With a temperature range of -45°C to +120°C (expandable to -55°C to +130°C with special tuning), stainless steel options and resistance to constant temperature changes, our fittings are ideal for use in climate chambers.

Why choose JEL

Advantages of our LED solution for climatic chambers

BA-48 'Barracuda' HT High LED temperature lighting
SN35 HT AC High LED temperature lighting
01. Resistant to extreme temperatures

Our luminaires are specially designed to operate in temperatures from -45°C to +120°C, and with special tuning even of -55°C to +130°C. This makes them ideal for climatic chambers simulating extreme cold and heat cycles. The luminaires continue to perform reliably where conventional lighting fails, leading to consistent lighting during your test processes.

02. Resistance to temperature cycling

Climate rooms often undergo rapid and frequent temperature changes. Our lighting has been tested and proven to withstand these cycles without degradation in performance or lifespan. This means less downtime and less need for frequent replacement or maintenance.

03. Stainless steel options

For environments where, due to hygienic or extremely corrosive conditions, there is a reason for high corrosion resistance, we offer luminaires manufactured from 316L stainless steel. This increases the durability and reliability of the lighting, even in humid or corrosive conditions that can occur in certain climatic chamber applications. As standard, our luminaires are aluminium with a 12-layer titanium powder coating.

04. Long service life of 15 years

With a design life of 15 years (based on a lifetime of 100,000 hours with 70% light maintenance), our lighting solutions offer a sustainable investment. This results in lower maintenance costs and minimises downtime in your test facilities.

05. Energy efficiency and cost savings

Our LED luminaires are highly energy-efficient, with a lumen per watt efficiency of up to 200 lm/W. This leads to significant energy savings compared to traditional lighting. In addition, LED lighting generates less heat, which can contribute to more stable temperature control within the climate chamber.

06. Easy installation and intergration

Thanks to the compact and modular design, our fittings can be easily installed in both new and existing climate chambers. Our customised solutions are designed to integrate seamlessly with your existing infrastructure, improving installation conveniences and minimising downtime.

Together into one working solution

Adaptive lighting

We understand that every climate chamber is unique and has specific lighting needs. Our high-quality LED luminaires are therefore suitable for various applications within climate chambers. As this environment changes, we offer lighting solutions that can keep up with it, including:

  • Different colour temperatures and colour rendering (CRI): Adaptable to the requirements of your test procedures, including slow motion recording.
  • Dimmable options: For precise control of light intensity.
  • Specific beam angles: To direct lighting where it is needed.

Resistance to UV and IR radiation

Our luminaires are designed to withstand any UV and infrared radiation that may be used in certain test conditions within climate chambers. This ensures that the lighting does not degrade and continues to perform consistently.

Custom-made control cabinets

We understand that placing driver components in the climate chamber itself can be challenging due to high temperatures and limited space. Therefore, we offer custom-made driver boxes and driver enclosures that provide power and control to the luminaires safely and reliably. Our driver boxes are designed to operate in the harshest test conditions of climate chambers, including exposure to infrared radiation and electromagnetic interference.

Mounting options:

  • Simplified assembly: Mounting of all drivers and controls in a central cabinet per zone mounted in an easily accessible location. Standard IP67 protection by an industrial enclosure resistant to heat, dust and thermal radiation.
  • Separate placement: Installation of the drivers is always in cooler areas for reasons of longevity, connected via our heat-resistant cabling.
  • Adaptation to installation: Flexible solutions to suit your specific needs and infrastructure.
