Explanation IP/IK Rating

Example: The Piranha series has the IP rating - IP69K

IP Rating

The IP rating is internationally formalized in the document IEC 60529. An IP rating is represented by two digits, the first digit indicates the protection against touch and penetrating objects and the second digit the protection against moisture and dust.

Example: the Orca series has the IK Rating - IK10

IK Rating

The IK classification classifies the level of protection that electrical appliances provide against mechanical influences from the outside. It is defined by standard IEC 62262. The degree of mechanical protection is identified by a code consisting of the letters IK followed by two numbers.
