During preparations for DAKAR 2023, JEL Products fitted one of EUROL Rallysport Team De Rooy's race vehicles with new LED lighting. In addition, the lighting in the bivouac has been thoroughly updated with bright, energy-efficient lamps. The tents are equipped with robust, specialised fluorescent fixtures, while the large service truck features an extendable mast with floodlights of no less than 32,000 lumens each. This upgrade allows the team to work optimally in extreme conditions, resulting in improved visibility and safety.

On a long-term project in central Australia, JEL Products has supplied ten 12-metre-high light towers, each equipped with multiple DCbright Barracuda LED Floodlights. These robust structures provide intense and reliable light for nighttime operations and mine safety checks. Thanks to the efficient Barracuda series and their high IP rating, the masts remain operational in the hot, dry and dusty conditions of the Australian desert.

JEL Products has supplied several mobile 12-metre light towers to a major rental partner in Australia, in partnership with MLT. These towers are equipped with 8 to 10 Barracuda 320DC LED luminaires per mast, which can easily switch between 2200K (warm white) and 6500K (cold white). The flexibility in colour temperature is ideal for different application scenarios, from night work in mines to outdoor events. The high light output and sturdy build quality of the Barracuda series make these light towers a durable choice, even in the most extreme climatic conditions.

Vlaardingen-based DFDS Seaways knew what savings could be made, having previously equipped another terminal with JEL Products luminaires in 2021. Now in 2023, the company has commissioned JEL Products to also retrofit the existing terminal in Vlaardingen with new luminaires at a savings of no less than 53%. The complete work also included replacing damaged light poles and replacing the electrical installation.

DFDS Seaways at Vlaardingen recently received a world first. As the first port in the world, the company received the latest lighting innovation on their premises. An additional 30% of energy could be saved on the prescribed lighting plan with renowned luminaires. In addition, the lifetime of the Dark Licht luminaires was twice as long as the alternatives. The choice therefore fell on the quality of JEL Products.

SC Hoevelaken is actively taking many steps towards becoming a fully sustainable club. For example, the club recently had us replace its field lighting with Dark Licht LED fixtures. With this investment, the club is not only leading the way in terms of light pollution reduction, it is also saving 59% annually. The saving percentage is over 30% higher than the other alternatives could offer. In addition, the lighting quality on the pitch also received a considerable upgrade, while the illuminance increased only moderately to 120lux.

TV de Eemslag is located in beautiful polder surroundings in the municipality of Bunschoten-Spakenburg. The club is actively taking many steps to increase its sustainability. Partly because the club is located directly in nature, it is important to prevent light pollution. The club has therefore had its eight tennis courts and five newly constructed padel courts converted from contingent lighting to nuisance-free fixtures by JEL Products.

RKAV Volendam is expanding. The Volendam-based club has chosen our Dark Light fixtures for the renovated main pitch. The old lighting installation of 150lux with 6 low masts has been replaced by 6 new masts with 14 fixtures and an illuminance of 300lux. Although the number of lux has doubled, the energy saving at full power is still around 30%. In addition, the field is controlled via our smart system which offers additional savings.

Sparta Nijkerk expands. The club from beautiful Nijkerk (home town) has chosen our Dark Light fixtures for the renovated main pitch. The old lighting installation of 200lux has been replaced with 6 masts and already for 8 new masts with 16 fixtures and an illuminance of 350lux. Although the number of lux has almost doubled, the energy saving at full power is still around 30%. In addition, the field is DALI-controlled and beautiful light shows are possible!

KV Sparta Nijkerk is growing and is working daily to do so as sustainably as possible. In cooperation with the club, both fields have been replaced with LED lighting, of which, thanks to the 230lux lighting strength, matches can now be played on the main pitch. With this investment, the club is not only progressive in terms of light pollution reduction, but also saves 67% annually. Control via the smartapp has also been realised.

In cooperation with van der Spek-Vianen, we have developed a universal lighting solution for use in tower cranes. In doing so, we not only offered a sustainable alternative to conventional lighting but also made the relevant processes significantly more efficient. For example, transport costs to and from the construction site together with storage costs have been reduced by 90% and installation costs have been halved.

As a loyal customer of our partner and tower crane rental company van der Spek-Vianen, Hurks has long used the universal lighting solution we developed for use in tower cranes. This gives Hurks a sustainable alternative to conventional lighting and makes storage, assembly and transport considerably more efficient. For example, transport costs to and from the building site together with storage costs have been reduced by 90% and installation costs have been halved.

For Heijmans infra, we converted light towers from conventional luminaires to the latest development in light emission and light pollution control. This resulted in energy savings of 80% on top of an enormous gain in illuminated area. Where previously a maximum of 4,000m2 was achieved with a four conventional luminaires, 11,000m2 is now achieved with a mere two luminaires.

Using various lighting calculations and tests, JEL Products worked with Hoogwout, a leading salvage company in the Netherlands, to come up with a solution to increase safety around the salvage vehicles. Thanks to the new lighting at the loading bay of the recovery vehicle that does not blind traffic, the hazard lights are more visible. This achieves a huge improvement in safety, drivers also report.

When renovating three Liebherr LHM500 harbour cranes belonging to Adrigem B.V., JEL Products was able to supply a suitable lighting solution suitable for maritime use. Our quality products and thoughtful lighting design allowed us to triple the light intensity around the crane while reducing energy consumption by 50%. In addition, the installation is now suitable for the harsh conditions which means the crane can now continue to operate in the light even under the toughest conditions. JEL Products, together with a specialist offshore partner, carried out an ambitious project for Siemens. This involved installing more than 400 DCbright Moray MO-16 luminaires on the foundations of over 100 offshore wind turbines. The tender was won thanks to the superior corrosion resistance and energy efficiency of the Moray luminaires.

At a large potato processing plant, JEL Products SN35-35HT luminaires in 316L stainless steel have been installed in the drying oven. This oven continuously reaches temperatures of up to +120°C, meaning standard lighting is insufficient. The robust SN35-35HT series is specifically designed for high temperatures and uses high-quality materials that are resistant to corrosion, heat, and intensive use. This guarantees a reliable and durable lighting solution within the food industry.

Leading European paper manufacturer, has chosen JEL Products's stainless steel Snapper HT luminaires. These LED lights can withstand the harsh corrosive conditions in paper production and have been operating smoothly for some time. Thanks to the combination of stainless steel materials, high IP rating and special heat resistance, the Snapper HT series is ideally suited for long-term use in demanding industrial processes.

For a military supplier, JEL Products installed the Snapper HT luminaires in a climate chamber capable of temperatures ranging from -45°C to +110°C. These versatile LED luminaires are designed to withstand shock, temperature changes and moisture, making them ideal for demanding test and development environments. On behalf of Rockwool Croatia, JEL Products carried out a large-scale project using IR-resistant Barracuda HT LED Floodlights. These industrial luminaires were installed throughout the factory to meet the high temperatures and harsh conditions. The Barracuda HT series is known for its durable construction and excellent energy efficiency, ensuring a reliable and safe lighting solution for stone wool production.
