A moulded luminaire where others supply a tube with end caps: up to 25,600 lumens at 213 lm/W, IP69K, in four lengths from 300 to 1,200 mm.
Most linear fixtures for wet or industrial areas consist of a plastic tube with two end caps. This design works well until it is subjected to impact, vibration, heat, or a high-pressure cleaning nozzle: at that point, the seam between the tube and the cap becomes the weak link. The Linear features a die-cast aluminum housing that holds the optics, the seal, and the electronics, as well as a solid copper-core circuit board that dissipates heat. Also available in an HT version rated up to +120 °C, for climate chambers, drying chambers, and hot production areas.
Response within 1 business day by an engineer. Free lighting calculation and trial luminaire possible.
HT version 900 mm, Titanium Light Grey.
120 W at 1,200 mm, 213 lm/W
including the junction box
IK09 with diffuse impact-resistant glass
300, 600, 900, and 1,200 mm
limited, under heavy industrial use
from −45 °C to +120 °C with the HT-AC
An IP69K rating says something about dust and water, but nothing about mechanical strength, thermal design, or lifespan under load. That is the difference with a tubular fixture.
Where that load is not present, you are paying for something you do not need. We would rather say so in advance.
All versions share the same cross-section of 134 × 102 mm and the same cast housing. What differs is the power supply, the driver position, the circuit board, and the temperature limit.
6,400 – 25,600 lm
The standard version operates on mains power, 90 to 305 VAC, with the driver built into the fixture. 30 to 120 W at 213 lm/W, up to +50 °C.
LIN-30 · LIN-60 · LIN-90 · LIN-120

The connection is made via an IP69K junction box with H07BQ-F cable; for the HT version, this is heat-resistant SiHF-OB. In the case of trunking lighting, the cable entry point is where things tend to go wrong in practice.

in steps of 30°
The luminaire can be tilted in 30-degree increments up to 180 degrees, allowing the beam to be directed at the machine or the direction of travel. How many luminaires fit on a single circuit breaker depends on the length, version, voltage, and cable route: with a long row of luminaires along a machine, the voltage drop is usually the limiting factor, not the breaker.
At 12 volts, pay attention to the cable cross-section: the current doubles compared to 24 volts, up to 10 amperes for the 120-watt version. Provide the quantity, length, and cable route, and we will calculate it for you within the lighting advice and the installation calculation. The inrush current is available upon request.
The standard versions are available with 30°, 60°, 90° or 120°; the HT series with 20°, 40°, 60° or 120°. The angle determines whether the light falls on the machine or on the floor next to it. If you are in doubt, we will substantiate the choice with a free lighting calculation.
Narrow distribution: 30° for standard versions, 20° for the HT series. For high mounting or targeted illumination of a machine part.
The center distribution along a process line or walkway: light on the machine, less on the adjacent floor.
Wide distribution for standard versions, at lower mounting heights in a hall or technical room.
Very wide, also available in the HT series. For low ceilings, hallways, and narrow zones close to the floor.

| Linear HT, DC | 20°, 40°, 60°, 120° | 6500K, 4000K, 2700K, amber 2200K | Hot zones up to +110 °C on direct current. |
Bicolor cool white with amber is available. CRI > 70, optional 80 or 90, color consistency MacAdam step 3. The color temperature and optics are specified separately upon ordering.
In a tubular luminaire, the plastic tube itself carries the structure and the seals are located in two end caps. That is the place where moisture enters after a few years of cleaning, and the place that fails upon impact or vibration. The Linear reverses this: the cast aluminum housing carries everything, and the seal is located within the casting.
Solid copper core printed circuit board, in the HT version with an IR-reflective gold coating. This way, 213 lm/W is maintained even when the environment gets warm.

300, 600, 900, and 1,200 mm
A luminaire that is “suitable up to +120 °C” does not achieve the same lifespan there as it does at +50 °C. We do not conceal this: shown opposite is the specification per ambient temperature for the HT version. At +50 °C this is 360,000 hours, at +120 °C still 51,400 hours, which is over fourteen years at ten operating hours per day.
That is why we always evaluate a high-temperature application at the project level. Not only the ambient temperature matters, but also radiant heat, airflow around the luminaire, the mounting position, the operating time, and the location of the driver. In the HT version, that driver is deliberately located outside the hot zone. The AC version is guaranteed up to +120 °C with brief peaks up to +130 °C; the DC version up to +110 °C.
The HT version is not a universal solution for every hot environment. Radiant heat, peak temperatures, and chemical exposure can change the choice. Submit the situation before ordering.

Long, narrow zones where cleaning, heat, or vibration stress the luminaire.
Along a paper machine or process line, a linear light pattern is the only thing that fits: the zone is long and narrow, and the fixtures hang close to the machine.
Daily cleaning with hot water, foam, and disinfectant is harder on a luminaire than the weather outside. IP69K and a seamless molded housing are the reasons for this choice.
In a drying tunnel or climatic chamber, heat, vapor, and cleaning come together. The HT version operates up to +120 °C, with the driver outside the zone.
For machine builders who supply lighting as part of the machine, and for retrofits where an existing fixture does not hold up. The DC version connects directly to the machine control system.
All versions share the same cross-section of 134 × 102 mm; only the length and weight differ. The drawing opposite follows the length you chose in the specifications.

Every claim carries its condition in the same sentence. You can read more about the test methods at Product Quality and Warranty.
The luminaire is IP69K, including the junction box to which it is connected, so the cable entry maintains the same degree of protection as the housing. With continuous row lighting, that is the point where things tend to go wrong in practice.
L90B05 at +50 °C: at that point, at least 95 % of the fixtures will still deliver at least 90 % of their initial light output. For the HT, the specified lifespan is reduced to 51,400 hours at +120 °C.
The electronics remain stable up to 75 V; above that, 3,000 to 6,000 A is drawn to flatten the peak, within 8/20 µs with a response speed of 1,000 V/µs, with transil protection on the connecting wires.

CE, ENEC and IEC 60598. ENEC is a voluntary European product safety certification tested by an independent third party that goes beyond the mandatory CE marking; IEC 60598 sets requirements for construction, electrical safety and thermal behavior. The corresponding emission and immunity standards apply to EMC. For specific project requirements, we assess the certification status per application.
No. There is no type approval from DNV, Lloyd’s, Bureau Veritas, or any other classification society. If your client or specifications require this, we prefer to state that in advance and provide the substantiation that is available.
The electronics remain stable up to 75 volts; above that, 3,000 to 6,000 amperes are drawn to flatten the peak, within 8/20 µs with a response speed of 1,000 V/µs. In addition, there is transil protection on the connection wires, an inrush current limiter, and short-circuit protection.
That depends on the length, the design, the voltage, and the cable route. With a long run of luminaires along a machine, the voltage drop is usually the limiting factor, not the circuit breaker. Provide the quantity, length, and cable route, and we will calculate it for you.
The type designation is LIN for the standard version and LVHT for the high-temperature version, followed by the wattage: LIN-30 up to and including LIN-120 and LVHT-30 up to and including LVHT-120. The color temperature and optics are specified separately when ordering. The HS code of the luminaires is 9405500090.
IP69K says something about dust, water, and high-pressure cleaning, but nothing about mechanical strength or thermal behavior. Most IP69K linear luminaires are a plastic or polycarbonate tube with end caps; that seam is the weak spot during impact, vibration, and years of cleaning. The Linear has a cast aluminum housing that supports the construction and keeps the seal inside the casting.
As soon as the ambient temperature structurally exceeds +50 °C: climate chambers, drying chambers, hot production zones, paper machines, and test setups. The HT version operates up to +120 °C, features a heat-resistant silicone cable, an IR-reflecting gold coating on the circuit board, and an external driver outside the hot zone.
Drivers are more sensitive to heat than the LED module itself. In a hot zone, the driver is the component that fails first. By placing it outside the zone, the thermal load decreases and maintenance is possible without entering the hot space.
That depends on the temperature, and we prefer to write that down rather than giving a single number. Measured according to TM-21 and reported as L90B05: 360,000 hours at +50 °C, 103,000 hours at +85 °C, 90,700 hours at +105 °C, and 51,400 hours at +120 °C. Even that last value is still well over fourteen years at ten burning hours per day.
The length follows from the zone, not from the lumen target. For a machine or a walkway, the rule is: rather multiple short luminaires with equal spacing than one long one with shadow areas next to it. We calculate the layout and return the number, length, and optics.
Yes. The luminaire is IP69K, including the junction box to which it is connected, so the cable entry maintains the same degree of protection as the housing. With continuous row lighting, that is the point where things tend to go wrong in practice.
It is suitable for wet and cleanable industrial zones. If hygienic requirements such as EHEDG or specific material specifications apply, we evaluate this on a project-by-project basis: cleaning, temperature, material, and certification together determine the execution.
Yes, the DC version operates from 12 to 24 volts. At 12 volts, the current doubles compared to 24 volts, up to 10 amperes for the 120-watt version. Therefore, please pay attention to the cable cross-section along the length of the installation; we will calculate the voltage drop upon request.
No. For areas at risk of explosion, a specific explosion-proof luminaire must be selected. The JEL Products does not have ATEX certification; we state this up front, even if it costs us the contract.
Yes, that is one of the common applications. The luminaire is tiltable per 30 degrees up to 180 degrees and is resistant to vibration. However, assess the mounting, cable entry, and maintenance access in advance; those three determine whether it will hold up on a machine.
Usually not. A linear luminaire illuminates a strip of area directly below it; for an outdoor area or a pole, a floodlight or a full-cut-off floodlight makes more functional sense. For directed lighting at a distance in a high-temperature area, the Orca, Barracuda, or Snapper HT are the right choice.
Five years of heavy industrial use. For the HT versions, this period applies within the specified temperature range: up to +120 °C for the AC version, with short-term peaks up to +130 °C under specified conditions, and up to +110 °C for the DC version.
Provide the length of the zone, the mounting height, the voltage, and the ambient temperature. We will determine the length, the quantity, the optics, and whether the HT version is required. If temperature is a concern, we will also look at radiant heat, airflow, and the location of the driver.
You will receive a response from the person who is also preparing your lighting calculation.
We use your data solely to evaluate your request and respond appropriately.
