The Linear was developed for applications where a standard linear LED fixture falls short. Instead of a light tube construction with end caps, the Linear uses a heavy-duty cast housing, making the fixture more resistant to impact, moisture, dirt, vibrations, and intensive industrial loads.
The product family is available for normal industrial environments and in a high-temperature version for applications up to +120°C. This makes the Linear suitable for production environments, technical rooms, climate chambers, food processing, mechanical engineering, industrial cleaning, and areas where reliability is more important than the lowest possible purchase price.
Many linear LED luminaires for damp or industrial environments are constructed as a tube luminaire with two end caps. This can work fine in light applications, but is not always suitable for heavy industrial loads, mechanical impact, high temperatures, or intensive cleaning.
The Linear has a different construction. The cast housing forms the base of the luminaire and protects the electronics, optics, and seal from conditions where standard luminaires often become the weak link. This makes the Linear particularly suitable for projects where lifespan, reliability, and mechanical robustness are more important than the lowest product price.

The De Linear is not intended as the cheapest solution for simple general lighting. The strength of this fixture lies in its robustness, sealing, industrial applicability, and specific designs for harsh conditions.
The Linear is usually not the right choice when:
An IP69K rating indicates protection against dust, water, and high-pressure cleaning, but not automatically the mechanical strength, thermal build-up, or industrial ruggedness of a fixture. Many IP69K linear fixtures are constructed as plastic or polycarbonate tubes with end caps. This construction can be suitable for hygienic or light industrial applications, but it's not always the best choice for impact, vibration, high temperatures, or heavy soiling.
The Linear was developed as a more robust industrial alternative. Thanks to its cast housing, sturdy seal, and project-based execution possibilities, the luminaire is better suited for heavy-duty production environments, machinery, technical installations, and high-temperature applications.

The Linear HT is the high-temperature version within the Linear product family. This variant is intended for applications where the ambient temperature is higher than standard LED fixtures can handle. Consider climate chambers, drying rooms, process plants, paper machines, and test environments.
In high-temperature environments, the selection of a luminaire isn't solely based on its specified temperature range. The position of the driver, heat dissipation, wiring, sealing, mounting position, and airflow around the luminaire also contribute to the reliability of the installation. Therefore, we always assess high-temperature applications on a project-by-project basis.
Important:
The high-temperature version is not a universal solution for every hot environment. Radiant heat, peak temperatures, chemical stress, and mounting position can influence the correct product choice.
The Linear is not just chosen based on power or lumens, but primarily based on the correct light pattern in the right place.
