The Manta is a high-efficiency LED canopy light for gas stations, canopies, and other covered outdoor applications requiring powerful, reliable, and low-maintenance lighting. With 22,400 lumens at an efficiency of up to 224 lumens per watt and per-fixture wattage adjustable from 10 to 100 W via NFC, the Manta is designed as a durable replacement for existing canopy lights, including the globally widespread CREE 304 installations.
The product line covers every mounting situation: recess, surface, and the ultra-thin Upgrade panel that fits directly into existing CREE 304 positions. New is the Manta HT for high ambient temperatures up to +120°C, with the same canopy shape but built for drying tunnels, steam car washes, and hot process areas. This makes the Manta the logical choice for both retrofit projects and new installations.
The Manta is intended for applications where a canopy light not only needs to provide a lot of light but also needs to remain reliably functional for a long time in a demanding environment. Particularly at gas stations, canopies, and covered outdoor applications, it’s not just about output, but also about efficiency, low maintenance, and a housing that is resistant to water, dirt, and temperature fluctuations.
The Manta is a logical choice when:
The Manta is not intended as a solution for every lighting challenge. The strength of this fixture lies precisely in its specific combination of canopy application, robust construction, and high efficiency within ceiling and canopy lighting.
The Manta is usually not the right choice for it:
The ultra-thin retrofit panel (20 mm, 3.7 kg) that fits one-to-one into existing CREE 304 positions. Replacement without chiseling or breaking. Suitable for:
The built-in version: fits flush into the canopy or suspended ceiling for a seamless final look. Suitable for:
Construction: mounted directly on the ceiling or substructure, without recess. Suitable for:
The high-temperature version: same canopy shape, built for environments up to +120°C with an external driver outside the hot zone. Suitable for:
The Manta is particularly strong in applications where a fixture must perform day in and day out under an awning, ceiling, or canopy. The product is developed for functional, professional environments where light quality, operation, and maintenance are decisive factors in the final choice.
For gas stations where high light output, neat ceiling integration, and long-lasting reliable operation are essential.
For retrofit projects where existing CREE 304 canopy lights need to be replaced with a more efficient and robust alternative.
For covered outdoor areas where functional and even light is needed in a dust and waterproof execution.
For canopy and ceiling applications where high efficiency, reliability, and low maintenance are essential.
The Manta is available in three mounting options (Upgrade, Recess, and Surface) and as an HT version for high ambient temperatures. In the standard versions, the driver is internal; the HT version works with an external driver outside the hot zone. The power is adjustable in all versions via NFC.

The Manta has been developed as a high-efficiency canopy light for professional use, combining a high light output with very low energy consumption per lumen delivered. The fixture is available in various versions and can be customized for mounting type, optics, and voltage configuration.
The Manta is developed as a modern and extremely efficient alternative to many existing CREE 304 canopy lights used worldwide. For projects where existing fixtures need to be replaced without compromising on light performance, robustness, or lifespan, the Manta offers a future-proof retrofit solution with significantly higher efficiency and broad applicability in gas stations and other canopy applications.
The Manta is available with different optics, allowing the luminaire to be adapted to the application and the desired light distribution under the canopy or ceiling structure. Therefore, the choice is not only about power or lumens, but also about how the light is distributed in practice on the work surface.
The De Manta is developed for environments where luminaires must withstand water, dirt, and intensive daily use. With a robust housing, high protection ratings, and suitability for harsh conditions, this is not a light fixture for light applications, but a serious canopy solution for professional use.
Canopy lighting is not just about a lot of light, but about light that is useful and in the right place. The right choice is determined by mounting height, fixture spacing, desired uniformity, and how the environment should be illuminated functionally and representatively without unnecessary oversizing.
The Manta is designed for long-term deployment in demanding conditions where reliability and efficiency directly impact maintenance pressure and operating costs. This difference is especially noticeable in applications such as gas stations and covered outdoor areas, as the luminaire must perform not only on day one, but also over the long term.
The De Manta is a high-efficiency LED canopy light for gas stations, canopies, and other covered outdoor applications where powerful and reliable overhead lighting is required.
The De Manta is particularly suitable for gas stations, canopies, awnings, loading and service areas, and other ceiling applications in demanding environments.
De Manta is your choice when you need a canopy light that combines high efficiency, robust construction, long lifespan, and flexible mounting.
The Manta is usually not the right choice when a work lamp, floodlight, or anti-glare fixture is functionally more logical than a canopy light.
A canopy light is a fixture for mounting under canopies, overhangs, and ceilings—think gas stations, loading docks, and covered outdoor areas. Unlike regular ceiling lights, canopy lights are built for outdoor conditions under a canopy: moisture, dust, temperature fluctuations, and intensive daily use.
Yes. The Manta is highly suitable as a retrofit solution for existing CREE 304 canopy lights where higher efficiency, long life, and robust protection are desired.
Yes. The Manta is available for both surface and flush mounting, depending on the application and desired integration.
Yes. Gas stations are one of the most logical applications for the Manta, as this product was specifically developed for this type of canopy lighting.
Yes. The Manta is designed for canopy and ceiling applications where fixtures may be protected but exposed to harsh environmental conditions.
Yes. The Manta is suitable for both new installations and the replacement of existing canopy lights.
This depends on the existing construction, the available installation space, and the desired aesthetic or technical integration of the fixture.
Yes. The Manta is specifically interesting for gas stations and other canopy applications where powerful, reliable, and low-maintenance lighting is needed.
Depending on the version, the Manta delivers approximately 19,600 to 22,400 lumens. The exact lumen count can be set afterwards via NFC.
The De Manta achieves up to 224 lm/W without specific optics and approximately 206 lm/W with optics, depending on the configuration, light color, and version.
These values indicate that the Manta is highly protected against water, dust, and mechanical stress within its scope of application.
Yes. The Manta is specifically designed for applications where water, dust, and harsh environmental conditions are a factor.
Yes—and there's now a special version for this: the Manta HT. It works in ambient temperatures up to +120°C, with chemically hardened glass, a heat-resistant silicone cable, and an external driver outside the hot zone. This means the canopy shape can now also be used in drying tunnels, steamy car washes, and hot process areas. The standard Manta operates from -45°C to +50°C.
Because the Manta combines three things that directly impact gas station operations: up to 224 lm/W (low energy costs), a lifespan of hundreds of thousands of hours (no need for a cherry picker to replace lamps above the pumps), and NFC-adjustable wattage, allowing light levels to be tailored per canopy position without stocking different fixtures.
The Manta is certified according to CE, ENEC, and IEC 60598. CE confirms conformity with the applicable European directives. ENEC (European Norms Electrical Certification) is a voluntary European product safety certification that is tested by an independent third party and goes beyond the mandatory CE marking. IEC 60598 is the international standard for lighting fixtures and includes requirements for construction, electrical safety, and thermal behavior. For specific project requirements or additional standard requirements, JEL Products can assess the certification status per application.
The Manta is designed for a very long lifespan and is positioned as a low-maintenance, long-term solution.
Yes. Precisely the combination of high efficiency, robust construction, and long lifespan makes the Manta interesting for applications where maintenance requirements must be kept to a minimum.
Because canopy lights are often mounted at greater heights or above operational zones, making replacement and maintenance relatively costly and disruptive.
Yes. The Manta was developed for professional applications where fixtures must remain functional for a long time and reliably.
De Manta combines high efficiency, high light output, robust protection, and flexible mounting within a single product line.
Yes. The Manta can be deployed for new projects as well as for replacing existing canopy installations.
Yes. Based on mounting type, application, light distribution, and technical requirements, we help select the right version.
