You no longer need to assess the luminaire; your technical colleague has done that. What you need is to record that JEL Products is a sound supplier. Below is what a supplier form asks for, in the order it is asked, with the documents attached. If anything is missing, our procurement contact will complete your form or portal within two working days.

JEL Products is a family business without external shareholders. The company started in 2019 as a general partnership and has been a private limited company since 1 January 2024; the Chamber of Commerce number above is that of the B.V. What this means for you: the people you speak to now are the people you will speak to in five years, and decisions on warranty or custom work are taken at the table, not in another country.
What we hold is listed below, with the certificate attached. What we do not hold is listed too. If your specification calls for a certificate we do not carry, we say so up front and refer you elsewhere, even if it costs us the order.

CE, ENEC and IEC 60598 per luminaire. The EU declaration of conformity is at the back of every manual and is also available separately per item in the supplier pack.
Not in our portfolio
No ATEX or IECEx, no type approval from DNV, ABS or Lloyd's. For gas zones, dust zones and class-approved marine lighting we are not the right party, and we say so up front.
The luminaires are developed together with our partner DCbright, with whom we have worked since the company was founded. What makes the difference for your project happens in Nijkerk: final assembly, configuration to your lighting plan, the final test of every luminaire and registration by serial number. Custom work, such as non-standard brackets, cable lengths or light colours, we build here ourselves.
The country of origin per item is stated on the order confirmation and on the invoice, as customs requires. If your supply chain policy calls for a supply chain declaration, we provide one on request.

JEL Products is insured for business liability and product liability up to 2.5 million euros per claim and 5 million euros per year. An insurance certificate from the insurer is included in the supplier pack and is issued in your organisation's name on request.
If we work on your site, our VCA** certification also applies to the installation work, and we work within your site rules and permit-to-work system.

For a terminal, what counts is not the response time to an email but the time until the light is back on.
Within one working day an engineer responds, with no account manager as an intermediate step.

Warranty handling by serial number: report it, include a photo and the serial number, and we settle the claim within 5 working days and supply a replacement luminaire or part.
Complaints. A complaint that has not been resolved to your satisfaction can be addressed in writing to the management via service@jelproducts.nl. You will receive a substantive response within 2 working days.
We know what a terminal group's supplier code requires and work within it. Our own code of conduct is below; we will also sign yours if you wish.

Eight points: integrity, fair competition, sanctions and export, people in the chain, safety, honesty about our product, environment and data. Signed by the management.
Sanctions and export control
We do not supply sanctioned parties or countries and screen foreign deliveries against the applicable EU sanctions lists. Our luminaires are not dual-use goods.
Product compliance
RoHS, REACH and WEEE declaration per item, together with the EU declaration of conformity, in the supplier pack. We take back end-of-life luminaires for responsible processing.
What we can demonstrate per project: the energy consumption per light point before and after, the savings in kWh and CO2 based on your own operating hours, and the service life per luminaire (L90 value at the stated ambient temperature). Our luminaires can be opened and repaired; a driver or lens is replaced, not the whole luminaire.
We do not currently have an environmental product declaration (EPD) per item. If your policy requires one, tell us; we will then say honestly what we can and cannot supply.
