The DarkLicht M was developed for applications that require a lot of light but where glare is not permitted. Thanks to the patented parabolic reflector technology, the light source is deeply concealed within the fixture: the light is sharply cut off (full cut-off), does not escape into the air or the surrounding area, and does not blind anyone—not the train operator, not nearby residents, and not road users.
The series includes two capacities: the M150 met 25,700 lumens (1 M300 with 51,300 lumens (300 W), both at 171 lumens per watt. The highest efficiency in the glare-free segment. Within the product line, the DarkLicht M is positioned above the more compact DarkLicht S en DarkLicht Mini, and under the large DarkLicht panel radiators for high-mast applications. Those looking for classic, maximum throw light without glare requirements should look at the Marlin or Shark.
The DarkLicht M is designed for situations where a standard floodlight is no longer permitted or suitable: providing powerful illumination without the surrounding area noticing. The fixture is built for daily professional use and combines high output with complete light shielding.
The DarkLicht M is the logical choice when:
The DarkLicht M isn't the answer to every lighting need. By being clear about this, you'll be able to choose the right product more quickly. The DarkLicht M is usually not the right choice for:
For uniform workplace lighting without obstruction or glare.
For uniform workplace lighting without obstruction or glare.
For glare-free terrain and mast lighting with power.
For glare-free terrain and mast lighting with power.
The DarkLicht M is particularly effective in applications where more light is needed than a compact, glare-free floodlight can provide, but where a traditional floodlight still causes too much glare. The fixture is therefore particularly well-suited for larger machines, vehicles, and work areas where focused, controlled work lighting is important.
For area and zone lighting where volume and shielding must go together: masts, cranes, construction sites, and areas.
The DarkLicht M is the heart of our Sentinel Tower light pole: configurations ranging from four to twelve luminaires illuminate 7,500 to 15,000 m² of worksite without a single complaint from the surrounding area. We also supply these same luminaires separately for existing poles—in AC for construction power or DC for battery-powered and hybrid poles.
As glare-free terrain lighting on tower cranes, mobile cranes, and heavy equipment: the operator sees their work zone, the surroundings see nothing. In DC version, directly on the 24V vehicle electrical system, optionally tiltable and controlled via our Crane Light Director.
Where the NSVV Light Pollution Guideline and the environmental permit set limits, the M-Series proves its worth: sharply cut-off light, supported by light calculations and reports if desired. The same DarkLicht technology that earned Heddes Bouw the award for best-performing construction site at More 1 & 2.
The DarkLicht M is available in DC and AC versions; the AC version requires an external driver (box). Both models are available in a dual-color version.

The DarkLicht M is the larger, glare-free floodlight in this product line. It is designed for users who need more output and a longer working range than the DarkLicht Mini can provide, but who still want to maintain the same controlled light distribution and glare reduction.
The DarkLicht M is positioned as the larger glare-free floodlight within the DarkLicht line and is intended for applications where higher output is required while maintaining the same controlled lighting principle. With 150W of power and 25,700 lumens, this fixture represents a clear step up from the DarkLicht Mini, without losing the focus on light shielding and obstruction limitation.
The DarkLicht M stands out not only for its output, but especially for the way the light is directed. Whereas traditional floodlights spread light in wide beams, the DarkLicht M is designed to keep the light focused on the work area and minimize glare for the driver, the surrounding area, or bystanders. As a result, in practice, this fixture is often more functional than a traditional work light with comparable or higher lumen output.
The DarkLicht M is a glare-free LED floodlight featuring patented parabolic reflector technology. The light source is positioned deep within the fixture, ensuring full cut-off and eliminating glare or light pollution. The series includes the M150 (25,700 lumens, 150 W) and the M300 (51,300 lumens, 300 W), both with 171 lm/W.
The DarkLicht M is a floodlight—but with a full cut-off. Whereas a traditional floodlight emits light in all directions and upward, the DarkLicht M sharply cuts off the light and keeps it entirely within the work zone. So you get the output of a floodlight without the glare that normally comes with it. If you’re looking for maximum throw over long distances without glare, check out the Marlin or Shark.
The DarkLicht M is designed for professional users who need powerful work lights but also want to actively minimize glare and disruption.
Yes. That is precisely the core feature of the product. The DarkLicht M was developed for applications where light pollution and glare are practical problems.
When more output, greater reach, and a larger functional work area are needed within the same non-glare lighting principle.
Yes—that’s exactly right. The DarkLicht M is designed for glare-free terrain and area lighting: mounted on masts and cranes, it fully illuminates large work zones while being completely shielded. For task-oriented work lighting at close range, the more compact DarkLicht S is the more logical choice.
The DarkLicht M is certified in accordance with CE, ENEC, and IEC 60598. The CE mark confirms compliance with the applicable European directives. ENEC (European Norms Electrical Certification) is a voluntary European product safety certification assessed by an independent third party that goes beyond the mandatory CE marking. IEC 60598 is the international standard for lighting fixtures and includes requirements regarding construction, electrical safety, and thermal behavior. For specific project requirements or additional standard requirements, JEL Products can assess the certification status on a per-application basis.
Yes. We're happy to help determine the right configuration based on application, mounting position, work zone, and desired light control.
The DarkLicht M is positioned as the high-performance mid-range model within the glare-free DarkLicht line: the M150 at 150 W and 25,700 lumens, and the M300 at 300 W and 51,300 lumens. The series thus bridges the gap between the compact DarkLicht S and the large DarkLicht floodlights for high-mast applications.
Yes. This fixture is particularly well-suited for applications where light quality and positioning must be deliberately considered in the design.
Are you looking for a powerful floodlight that provides plenty of light without the drawbacks of a traditional, bright floodlight? Then we’d be happy to help you select the right DarkLicht M model based on your mounting position, work area, environment, and desired light control. This way, you’ll not only choose a powerful fixture, but above all, a work light that’s safer and more comfortable to use in practice.
