Two questions recur in almost every project. Which financial scheme applies to my situation, and what should I actually compare a luminaire on. This page is the intersection of those two: choose your route to the scheme, or dive into the technology.
We do not provide tax or subsidy advice. What we do do: explain how the schemes work, and provide the technical substantiation on which an application or notification is based. For clients, we guide the process from beginning to end.
That depends on one question: does your organization pay corporation tax. A subsidy is paid out and does not require that; a tax deduction reduces profit and therefore requires there to be profit. That is where the two Dutch routes diverge.
For amateur sports clubs, foundations, and municipalities: parties without corporate income tax. Subsidies are paid out, so you do not need taxable profit.
For BVs, NVs, and entrepreneurs with taxable profit. A tax deduction lowers the profit, so without profit there is nothing to cash in.
Regulations vary by country and often by region, and they change every year. That’s why we don’t list foreign percentages on our website—instead, we’ll work with you to explore them in detail.
Are you hesitating between the first two: on the EIA page is a table that shows per organizational form which arrangement is and is not possible. That is the fastest way to see if you are on the right page.
If JEL implements the project, we will guide the subsidy process from beginning to end. Not as a separate service, and not as a subsidy agency: we are about the lighting and the underlying figures. The application itself goes through you, your accountant, or your advisor.
We deliberately keep that distinction sharp. We can substantiate a lighting plan; whether your application is approved is determined by the agency.
