BOSA Grant

Subsidy Scheme for Construction and Maintenance of Sports Facilities

01.
Explanation BOSA Subsidy

Introduction

Of BOSA subsidy (Stimulating Construction and Maintenance of Sports Facilities) offers amateur sports organizations in the Netherlands an opportunity to improve and make their sports facilities more sustainable, with financial support from the government. This scheme runs from 2019 through 2025, with approximately 80 million euros subsidy funds become available. That makes it particularly attractive for many associations and foundations to invest in, for example, new LED lighting, light poles, or other utility facilities.

When to report?

Depending on the size of the project, different submission deadlines apply:

  1. In advance (Article 11/12): in case of subsidy amounts from €25,000 Can the application be submitted before the activities (purchases/work) take place?.
  2. Afterwards (article 8/10): for subsidy amounts from €2,500 up to €25,000 one can up to 12 months Submit a request upon completion and payment of the project.

This offers flexibility for both small and large sports facility investment projects.
