Lighting for extreme conditions

Not every application fits within standard conditions. For environments with extreme heat, aggressive vapors, salt loads, or heavy corrosion, we supply luminaires specifically developed or adapted for long-term reliability under special conditions.

shown are the 320W, 120W, 35W, and 8W fixtures

High temperatures

  • -45°C to +130°C
  • 13–320W
  • up to 73,000 lumens

For applications where conventional lighting falls short due to heat, such as steel mills, furnaces, drying processes, and climate chambers, we supply luminaires that can withstand extreme ambient temperatures. This not only maintains lighting performance but, more importantly, ensures the reliability of the installation in environments where failure is immediately costly.

Pictured are the 800W, 320W, 180W, and 70W fixtures.

Extreme corrosion

  • 316L & special coatings
  • IP69K & IK10
  • up to 111,300 lumens

For maritime, offshore, and chemical environments where corrosion dictates lifespan and maintenance, we supply luminaires in 316L stainless steel, among other materials, and with additional protective coatings. This way, you choose not only sufficient light but also a solution that is correct at the material level for the environment.

Lighting specials for project-based applications

Some applications require not just the right fixture, but a complete project-specific solution. That's why we also provide specialized configurations and additional systems for applications where mounting, positioning, reach, and project logic are at least as important as the light source itself.

Pictured is our DL1-600CCB tower crane frame

Tower crane lighting

Power: 400 – 600 Watts
Light intensity: 68,400 – 102,000 lumen

up to 50 meters in accordance with EN-12464-2
universal and stackable system

Specially developed sets for tower cranes combine robust frames with powerful floodlights for safe and functional work lighting at height. This is not just about light output, but about a system solution that is practically integrable, reproducibly applicable, and fits within the lighting technical constraints of the work environment.

pictured is our BA48-SWB-320AC

Swing brackets

Power: 240 – 800 Watts
Light intensity: 32,600 – 111,300 lumens

adjustable swing speed
made for bulk (harbor cranes) and luffing jibs

For applications where the light beam needs to move with the operation, we supply swing brackets that allow floodlights to be controlled and functionally directed. This is particularly relevant for bulk cranes, container cranes, and luffing jib applications where fixed lighting does not always provide the correct coverage.

Pictured is our mining light mast type 12.0-B48

Light Posts

Heights from 8 meters
Light intensity: 48,000 – 136,800 lumens

illuminates 5,000 m² with one tower
available as DarkSky certified

For temporary, mobile, or project-based illumination of larger areas, we supply light mast solutions that combine speed of deployment with serious light performance. This makes them suitable for construction sites, temporary industrial zones, and other situations where reach, flexibility, and controlled site lighting need to come together.

Frequently Asked Questions

Product Choice & Assortment

A work lamp is intended for local and direct work light close to the application, a floodlight for larger work areas or more reach, and a flatbeam spotlight for powerful but controlled light on larger surfaces or masts.

For machines and vehicles, work lights are particularly suitable, supplemented by compact floodlights or non-glare DarkLichtsolutions when more range or less light nuisance is required.

You choose a work lamp when light is needed close to the machine, vehicle, or work point and is not intended to illuminate larger areas or distances.

You choose a floodlight when more light output, more reach, or a larger functional work zone is needed than a work light can practically provide.

You choose a flat emitter when high output is needed, but the light needs to remain more controlled at the same time, and glare or stray light must be actively limited.

The DarkLichtline is intended for applications where targeted light is needed without distracting glare for the driver, operator, colleagues, or the environment.

For compact mounting positions, the smaller work lights and compact DarkLichtversions are particularly logical, as size and integration are at least as important as maximum output.

For the toughest mechanical applications and rough working environments, the heavy-duty work lights and robust floodlights are the most logical choice within the range.

Technology, performance & application

No. The right combination of light output, beam pattern, mounting position, and application is more important than just a higher lumen number.

Because it's not just the amount of light that matters, but especially where the light falls and how practically useful it is on the work surface.

The right choice depends on working distance, mounting height, viewing direction, environment, desired spread, and whether robustness or obstruction avoidance weighs heavier.

This is especially the case when work is carried out near colleagues, traffic, buildings, or other situations where unfocused stray light can be disruptive or unsafe.

For larger work areas or site lighting, floodlights and heavier area lights are typically more logical than work lights.

Mounting height and working distance together determine which luminaire type, optics, and output are technically most logical for a good final result.

These are important because they indicate the extent to which a fixture is resistant to water, dust, and mechanical stress in demanding environments.

For corrosive or high-temperature environments, special designs are required that have been specifically developed or adapted for such conditions.
