What is your lighting failing on?

At JEL, a lighting request rarely starts with the fixture. It starts with a circumstance: it is too hot, too salty, too high, or the light falls in the wrong place. Below are the conditions we design lighting for, what we illuminate, and what we handle ourselves. Choose what fits your situation.

The circumstance

What makes your environment difficult?

High temperature

Continuous operation up to +120 °C, radiant heat near furnaces, rolling lines, and casting zones. Drivers outside the hot zone.

Extreme corrosion

Salty air, chemical vapors, and high-pressure cleaning. Completely 316L, IP69K available.

Glare and light nuisance

Full cut-off with an adjustable shielding from 63 to 75 degrees. Zero percent upward luminous flux.

Height and accessibility

Masts up to 50 meters, including foundation and engineering. Fewer positions mean less maintenance.

The object

What needs to be illuminated?

industrial site

Driving routes, charging zones, and walkways calculated per zone, and nothing on the property boundary.

Terminal and quay

Container, ferry and bulk terminals, with high masts and few obstacles on the deck.

Sports field

For luxury sports, uniformity and a calculated payback period.

Crane

Mobile cranes, tower cranes, and harbour cranes on a 24 or 48 V electrical system, assembly without welding.

Our services

And what belongs around the fixture

Lighting advice and lighting calculation

Free calculation in DIALux according to the NSVV code of conduct, with isolux plot, uniformity and glare. Response within one business day.

Engineering and custom solutions

From a different light color to a completely new luminaire: 14 meters underwater, -65 to +120 °C, lead glass against gamma radiation.

Installation and maintenance

Turn-key with our own VCA-certified technicians, a verification measurement upon delivery, and maintenance under contract.

Three examples

Where this is already stated

Standard LED failed prematurely at +120 °C. Replaced with a heat-resistant configuration with external drivers.
Crane vessel in a saline environment. Marine version, entirely in 316L, illuminated deck and boom.
Complete tower crane fleet equipped with a single standardized lighting system on mains voltage.

Don't you know yet which route is yours?

Describe the environment, the task, and what is currently installed. You will receive a response from an engineer within one business day, complete with a lighting calculation if that answers your question. Free of charge, even without an order.
